It started out as a three-door 1968 Chevrolet Suburban – the pair of doors are curbside – but today, this huge truck-based wagon has been repurposed into a custom street cruiser with modern General Motors power, plus a totally customized chassis by Porterbilt that incorporates drop-to the-ground air ride and CPP disc brakes at all corners. The current powertrain is a Chevrolet LS 6.0-liter V8 linked to a GM 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch Ford rear end with 3.50:1 gearing. A modified interior combines a pristine-looking wood headliner with Dakota Digital instruments, including a rear-view camera. Unusually, the Suburban’s roof is covered in textured blue cloth. The vehicle’s repaint includes custom pinstriping.
