Features
The actual mileage of this Corvette is not known.
The seller says the 365-horsepower, L76 327-cu.in. OHV V8 is original to the car.
A photo of the engine block stamping pad shows a partial VIN that appears to match the body VIN.
It also shows engine suffix code “HL.”
“HL” is correct for the 1965 L76 327 with a manual transmission and transistor ignition.
The L76 has forged bottom-end parts and an 11:1 compression ratio.
It also has a solid-lifter cam, large-valve heads, an aluminum intake manifold, and a Holley carb.
The optional transistor ignition was replaced with conventional breaker-points.
An aluminum radiator provides better cooling and longevity, the seller says.
A high-capacity oil pan has been installed for “better oil scavenging and cooling.”
The vacuum advance, expansion tank, belts, and hoses have been replaced.
The optional close-ratio four-speed manual transmission is present.
So too, is a 3.55:1-geared Positraction (limited-slip) differential.
The seller is not aware of any previous body damage on the car.
He states that the code-C Ermine white paint "appears to be original."
Red interior and leather seat covers have replaced the stock code-443 white/red vinyl cabin.
The original clock has been rebuilt with a quartz mechanism.
The four-wheel disc brakes were upgraded with stainless-steel caliper sleeves.
Custom-made braided stainless-steel lines replaced the original brake lines.
Power steering was installed using a kit matching the original GM offering for 1965, he says.
The steering coupler and other parts were replaced with NOS pieces or reproductions.
All of the cast-aluminum knock-off wheels are "pristine, showing no road rash," he notes.
A set of 215/70 R15 Michelin radial tires are fitted.
